Born August 4, 1939 in Shelby County, Indiana to Kenneth Dale Sr. and Emmaline (Colclazier) Ferris. He graduated from Shields high school in Seymour in 1958. He retired from H.O. Canfileld/ Pantasote after 29 years of service and from Seymour Housewares. He was an avid Bowler and was associated with several leagues in Seymour, Scottsburg, and Indianapolis and was of the Nazarene faith. He was a member of the Farmers Market association in North Vernon. He enjoyed working in his garden and spending time with his children. He is survived by his four devoted children, Robin (Steve) Deputy, Jennings County, IN; Penny Sue Koerner, Scottsburg, IN; Missy (Todd) Breedlove, Crothersville, IN; Terry (Marketta) Ferris, Butlerville, IN; grandchildren, Natasha (Cole) Elmore, Kacee (Trent) Sorenson, Stephen Bean, Nick Breedlove, T.J. Ferris, Readawn Ferris, Valorie Koerner, Jordan Ferris, Amanda Koerner and Allen Ferris; great grandchildren, Makinlee Breedlove, Avery Sorenson, Alivia Elmore, Adyson Sorenson and Parker Elmore. He will always be remembered for being a devoted father and grandfather. His parents, a sister, Dianna Ferris Moore and his companion Jean Nicholson preceded him in death. Rev. Mark Wooten will conduct funeral services at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Adams Funeral Home in Crothersville. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 and after 9:00 AM on Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home in Crothersville.
