Mrs. Metz was a seamstress at the former U.S. Shoe Corporation, a member of Home Ec-Happy Appronettes, Uniontown Baptist Church where she was active in the ladies Aide and enjoyed singing in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Born August 10, 1917 in Crothersville, Indiana she was the daughter of Horace and Clara (Krause) Dorsey. On January 26, 1941 in Uniontown, Indiana she married George Henry Metz who preceded her in death on June 5, 1996. Survivors include, two children, a daughter, Shirley (Marlin) Adams, Columbus, Indiana; a son, Glenn (Lucille) Metz. Crothersville, IN; four grandchildren, Glenn Dean (Melissa) Adams, Terre Haute, IN; Tammy Adams, Columbus, IN; Joann (Reed) May Brownstown, IN; Charles Metz, Austin, IN and seven great grandchildren, Jordan, Jalen, Jacie, Jayden, Jackson Adams, Terre Haute, IN; Kayla Guthrie, Rylee May, Brownstown, IN, a sister-in-law, Dora Dorsey, Crothersville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, and a brother Robert Dorsey. Pastor Bill Ramsey will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 7, 2008 at Uniontown Baptist Church with burial to follow at Uniontown Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 6, 2008 and after 10:00 AM on Monday at Uniontown Baptist Church. Dimitri Emma Metz, 90, of Uniontown, Indiana, passed away at 3:45 PM on July, 1, 2008 at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.
